Early Voting for the November 8, 2022 General Election

By Mail – ALL Woodbury County Voters

To vote by mail, you are required to make a written request for an absentee ballot.  You can call our office at 712-279-6465 and we will mail you an absentee ballot request form or you can download a request form from the Secretary of State website.

Complete your absentee ballot request form and mail it to the Auditor’s Office, Room 103 of the Woodbury County Courthouse.  We will then mail you an absentee ballot.  Request Forms must be received in our office by 5:00 p.m., Monday October 24th in order for us to mail you a ballot.

Absentee ballots will be mailed starting Wednesday, October 19th.

Absentee ballots can be returned by mail, dropped in our drive-up ballot box located directly behind the Courthouse accessible off of Douglas Street, or hand delivered to our office.

All absentee ballots must be received in our office by 8:00 p.m. in order to be counted.  There are exceptions for Safe At Home participants and uniformed and overseas citizens.

Early In-Person Voting – All Woodbury County Voters

Extended hours are available for voter registration and absentee voting in the Woodbury County Auditor's Office. In addition to regular hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, extended office hours will be as follows:

There will be no voting at the Courthouse on Election Day.

Curbside Voting for Voters Needing Assistance - ALL Woodbury County Voters

This service is available at the Courthouse at 620 Douglas Street during the same hours listed above. Call 712-279-6465 when you arrive at the north side entrance to the Courthouse on Seventh Street.  There will be no voting in the Courthouse on Election Day.

(Old Auditorium) – Use East doors

Dates:   October 19, 2022 – November 7, 2022                     Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Morningside University, Olson Student Center 3609 Peters Ave., Sioux City, Iowa

Yockey Family Room

Date: Thursday, October 20, 2022                                         Hours:  9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Western Iowa Tech Community College, 4647 Stone Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa

Cafeteria area – Use parking lot #5, entrance #15.

Accessible Entrance - Use parking lot #4, entrance #14.

Dates:  Tuesday& Wednesday, October 25th & 26th, 2022    Hours:  9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Carpenters Local 948, 2200 West 19th Street, Sioux City, Iowa

Date: Saturday, November 5th, 2022                                      Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

These Satellite Absentee Voting Stations are for Woodbury County residents only in Precincts 1 through 44 who wish to vote early for the General Election.

All polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8nd, 2022.  You must have a valid ID or an attestor from your precinct.
