2025 Auditor Facebook Launch and Elections Updates

WOODBURY COUNTY, Iowa – 9-29-2025 – The Woodbury County Auditor/Recorder/Commissioner of Elections has started a Facebook page that will be a new resource for Woodbury County residents to find information for current elections and other Auditor/Recorder relevant events.  Please follow https://www.facebook.com/WCCElections to stay up to date with the latest in the Auditor/Recorder Office.  Below is relevant information for the upcoming elections.  

Sioux City Primary: Election Date 10-7-2025

Ways to Vote:

1. Absentee by mail: Request period has ended.
2. In Person Absentee Voting: Now through Monday, October 6, eligible electors can vote in person at the Woodbury County Courthouse Auditor’s Office, 620 Douglas St, Rm 103: Mon-Fri 8:00 am-4:30 pm.
   Note: Curbside Voting is available for those in need. Call the phone number posted on the sign near the courthouse entrance.
3. Election Day: October 7, 2025: 7:00 am-8:00 pm, eligible electors from Sioux City must vote at their designated polling location.

• School will be in session in the Sioux City Community School District on October 7. Parking may be limited. Eligible electors may want to be aware of busier times during the school day including the morning hours between 7:30 am to 8:45 am and the afternoon hours between 2:30 pm and 3:45 pm and plan accordingly. Signage will be displayed at each school location indicating the appropriate entrance for those voting.

 

City/ School Election: Election Date 11-4-2025

Ways to Vote:

1. Absentee by mail: Available now through October 20,2025: Eligible electors may request an absentee ballot by mail. Deadline is 10-20-25, 5:00 pm.

• Note: Ballots requested prior to 10-15-2025 will be mailed on 10-15-2025.
• Methods to request absentee ballot:
  • Call the Woodbury County Auditor’s Office at 712-279-6465 to have an absentee request form mailed. Verbal request must be from the eligible voter.
  • Download an absentee ballot request form at https://sos.iowa.gov/elections/pdf/absenteeballotapp.pdf to print, complete and return. Absentee request forms must be received no later than 10-20-2025 at 5pm.

2.  In Person Absentee Voting:  October 15 through November 3, eligible electors can vote in person at the Woodbury County Courthouse Auditor’s Office, 620 Douglas St, Rm 103.

• Mon-Fri 8:00 am-4:30 pm

3. Satellite locations, dates, times, and election day polling information will be released after the 10-7-2025 Sioux City Primary Election.
